Dr. Maria Zanjanian
Dr. Zanjanian founded Dentists At Metrotown in 2012. Born and raised in Iran, she earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery in Tehran (1991), practiced for ten years, then completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine at UBC in 2010. She has a lasting passion for endodontics and facial cosmetic treatment, and for technology that makes visits quieter, calmer and easier — proud of the way her cosmetic and skin treatments help patients "smile with confidence."
Dr. Yanbin Xu
Dr. Xu earned his Bachelor of Dentistry at West China University (1989) and a PhD in Prosthodontics in Japan (2000), then his Doctor of Dental Medicine at UBC (2010). He focuses on surgery, implants and extractions — renowned for difficult wisdom-tooth cases — and uses Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) to minimize trauma and speed recovery, often cutting wisdom-tooth healing to 3–4 days. He believes in preserving natural teeth wherever possible and, when not, keeping bone intact for predictable implants.
Dr. Hamidreza (Tabby) Shirbani
Dr. Shirbani completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in Tehran (1996), earned a Master of Science in Periodontics and held an Assistant Professor position for six years before immigrating to Canada and completing his Canadian dental board exam in 2016. He is dedicated to high standards and patient satisfaction, with a special interest in periodontal treatment, implants and family dentistry. He speaks English and Farsi fluently, and is an active member of the College of Dental Surgeons of BC and the CDA.
Dr. Dalia Taher
Dr. Taher is a certified specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She offers a wide spectrum of treatment including clear aligner systems, choosing the approach that best fits each patient’s preferences and needs. Correcting misaligned teeth improves your smile and bite and lowers the long-term risk of wear, decay and gum disease.
